A certificate 3 in Outdoor Recreation is the entry level qualification needed to lead groups of participants in Outdoor Recreation activities.

If you are a Teacher or Outdoor Recreation Leader with extensive experience in the outdoors, feel free to contact us to discuss undertaking a RPL process to obtain your Certificate 3 in Outdoor Recreation. You will need to be currently working in an outdoor recreation environment and have access to experienced outdoor leaders with qualifications in Outdoor Recreation who are willing to vouch for your skills.
Based at Tallebudgera Beach School on the Gold Coast our Certificate 3 course will provide you with the skills you need to lead groups in the outdoors as well as the techniques and methods you need to help them learn and develop in areas such as teamwork, resilience and self-esteem. It is run over one year, however as the course is self paced students can progress more quickly. The course is made up of face-to-face training weekends, self paced online training and if required and flexible work experience placements at Tallebudgera Beach School and its Currumbin Valley Campus. With training being provided online or during activity training weekends along with a wide variety of practical experience options available**, the course has been designed to help you integrate your training with your existing commitments.
